“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:” – Colossians 1:16 (KJV)
Jesus is the Word of God and by Him all things were created: things in heaven and things on earth; visible and invisible things, thrones, authorities, and powers. In other words, Jesus Christ created everything, and everything belongs to Him; you belong to Jesus Christ (John 1:3). Therefore, you need Him to live a meaningful life.
Beloved, if the Word of God created all things, it shows how important the Holy Scriptures are to us. We can create what we need with the Word of God. What do you need as a child of God? Look for Scriptures that speak about it and begin to speak them to your life in faith; as you do, the Holy Spirit will bring them to pass in your life.
Dear beloved, challenge yourself by using the Word of God today to get things done. Remember that during the act of creation, God spoke the Word and the Holy Spirit brought it into being. For example, when He said let there be light, the Holy Spirit brought light to being (Genesis 1:3). Thus, we as children of God can do the same to our needs by speaking forth the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit will supply our needs. Hallelujah! Keep speaking the Word!
Prayer Point: My faithful and loving Father, thank You for making Your Word available to me. I’m grateful also for giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit. I search the Holy Scriptures today; please lead me to find scriptures that minister to my needs so that I can keep speaking them forth for them to come to pass for my enjoyment in Jesus’ name. Amen!
