“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;” – Psalm 103:3 (KJV)

Knowing how-to walk-in righteousness and utilizing this knowledge is a sure way to win against sin. Sometimes as children of God we are confronted with a lot of pressure from the world to live like those in the world. So, you might ask yourself, “Why shouldn’t I sin or commit a little sin?” Perhaps you think those in the world are committing a lot of sins and are getting away with them, so your little sin does not matter. Well, it matters to God. Every sin, no matter its size, breaks the Word of God, pollutes the spirit of the born-again Christian, and creates a door for the enemy to attack us (1 John 3:4). You can also come under God’s judgment (1 Corinthians 11:27–32).

Dear beloved, meditate on the opening scripture, and you will see a direct relationship between sin and diseases. Lots of the diseases that afflict us result from sin. Thus, when we sin and do not ask God to forgive us, it creates room for the enemy to afflict us with diseases (1 John 1:9, John 5:14).

Beloved, it is good to eat good food, drink clean water, exercise your body, and sleep and rest in a clean environment because they guarantee good health. However, making up your mind to commit a little sin will make you susceptible to diseases and infirmities. Therefore, fix your gaze on Jesus Christ instead of those in the world, and shine the light of righteousness, holiness, and cleanliness to enjoy a healthy and joyous life. Hallelujah! God bless you.

Prayer Point: My loving Father, I love you for making your Word available to me. I promise to fix my gaze on Jesus Christ instead of those in the world to shine the light of righteousness, holiness, and cleanliness to enjoy a healthy and joyous life. Please always prompt me to keep my promises, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
