“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” – Psalms 118:8 (KJV)
There are people who have put their trust and confidence in their wealth, distinguished personalities, power, fame, money, etc. The opening scripture is of the view that it is better to trust in the LORD than put your confidence in man or anything else. The good reason is that man, and, for that matter, anything else apart from God, can fail you (Matthew 24:35). Wealth, distinguished personalities, money, and power are perishable, but God lives forever.
Beloved, God is the creator of all things and knows what is best for you (Jeremiah 29:11). He created time and knew when to fulfil what you are trusting Him for. His power is not limited, and He knows how to connect you to people or things that have a part in fulfilling your desires and destiny.
Dear beloved, trust and have confidence in the Word of God so that you will not be disappointed in life. Abraham, Joseph, David, Hannah, Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, etc. trusted in God and were rewarded. Keep trusting in God and His Word and you will embrace your reward (Hebrews 11:6). Hallelujah! Be an overcomer.
Prayer Point: My faithful Father, I’m happy to know that You are the rewarder of those who diligently seek You; therefore, I can trust You. I put all my trust and confidence in You and Your Word. Please help me to continually trust You forever, even in difficult times, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
