“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who begets a wise child will delight in him. Let your father and your mother be glad, and let her who bore you rejoice”
(Proverbs 23:24-25 )

Children are an extension of their parents. When You see children do something good, godly, and worthy, that gives parents such great joy. 3 John 4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Before my father went to heaven, one of the greatest joys of my life was to do something that would cause him to rejoice and say, “John, am proud of you.” My mum especially never ceases to express her joy seeing me in the lord and being of great blessing to others. I’m so grateful for that. My wife Will always have good compliment with joy after I do a good preaching and play my role as a husband.

Dear friend, Reflect on your life today. Does your life honor God and give your parents joy? Does it gladden their hearts—and His? Live in such a way as to cause your parents to stick out their chest a little bit—not in a prideful way, but in saying, “Thank God for my children.” Your mother will have no greater joy than to know you are walking in the truth.
