“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6 (KJV)

“Born again” is a new doctrine introduced to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. The first time this Word was used was in a conversation between Jesus Christ and Nicodemus. Nicodemus could not understand the term till Jesus Christ explained it to him (John 3:4). Every human being came into this world by birth; this is physical, and Jesus calls it flesh. But there is another birth that takes place in the realm of the spirit; it only occurs when one repents and receives Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior. Here your human spirit is regenerated or given birth to in order to conform with the Spirit of God; this makes a person a child of God, and the Holy Spirit takes up permanent residence in their lives.

Dear beloved, it is only the born again experience that qualifies a person for eternal life (John 3:16). If you already have Jesus Christ in your life, you should now be able to explain to someone the term “born again.” Let them know that they need the second birth in order to be saved, and this can only be found in Jesus (Acts 4:12). They should believe in Him and make Him Lord and Savior of their lives, and they will be saved. Hallelujah! God bless you!

Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for explaining the term “born again” to me. I believe and make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of my life today. Amen!
