“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 1:5–8 (KJV)
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Whereas faith deals with the present, hope deals with the future.
Dear beloved, you cannot have faith and hope in isolation; they must be fuelled to power you to embrace the manifestation of your desires. The ingredients that need to be added to faith are virtue or moral excellence, knowledge, temperance or self-control, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness or affection, and charity or love.
When you continually practice these without getting weary and quitting, you will enjoy fruitfulness in every aspect of your life (Galatians 6:9). People will see it and testify that it is truth that you are a man or woman of faith.
Dear beloved, add or garnish your faith-filled words with these seven moral attributes of God, and your life will be a force to reckon with. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for educating me on faith and that it shouldn’t be in isolation. I will make a conscious effort by your Spirit to add all seven moral attributes of God to my faith and be blessed in Jesus’ name. Amen!
