Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

Just remember that it is the Law of Sowing and Reaping; not the Law of Reaping and Sowing!

Many people want to reap where they have never sown. They want to reap the benefits of a great marriage; but they never sow seeds of love and kindness into their marriage. They want to reap the benefits of a great income; but they have never learned the law of sowing through tithe and offerings. They want to reap the benefits of a promotion on the job; but they have never sown the seeds of showing up early and working harder than anyone else. Upcoming ministers want to reap the benefit of ministry; but they don’t believe in servanthood and loyalty.

You see how this works? It is a simple concept: whatever area of life you want to reap more from is the area you need to sow more in! You can’t turn it around and expect the same results. As has been said many times; you can’t expect to receive anything different until you are willing to do something different. So, my challenge to you today is to look at the areas of life where you would like to receive more and make a decision to sow more into that area.

Want a better marriage? Then do something romantic for your spouse. Want to increase your level of income? Then increase your level of giving. Want that promotion this year? Get to work earlier and do more than your boss expect of you. Want to be used by God? Know how you treat your spiritual authority for now. When you are willing to start sowing…then you can expect to start reaping!
