“And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.” Mark 1:29–31 (KJV)
Power is delegated authority. The demonstration of power and authority was seen throughout Jesus Christ’s ministry on Earth. The opening scripture reveals one of the occasions where Jesus Christ demonstrated power over sickness. He was told about the fever that had bound Simon’s mother-in-law, and He quickly exercised His authority, bringing healing to her. After Jesus Christ had resurrected and was about to ascend into heaven, He gave his disciples power to cast out demons, heal disease, speak in tongues, etc. (Mark 16:17–18).
Dear beloved, this power is available for you today. Jesus Christ has put all things under your feet (Ephesians 1:21–23). Thus you have power over the devil, demons, diseases, disappointments, etc. Use this power by commanding every ailing situation in your life to stop in the name of Jesus, and it will obey you. Never allow the devil and his demons to have their way in your life. Let every ailing situation in your life know that you are in charge and have power over them. Hallelujah! You are powerful!
Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for giving me your power. I use it today to calm every storm and ailing situation in my life. Amen!
