“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” – Acts 10:38 (KJV)
Waiting till you are anointed makes soul-winning easier and joyful. The opening scripture has thrown light onto how to make soul-winning possible amid opposition. Beloved, soul-winning is not a mere act; it is a lot of work, which needs divine enablement. No wonder Jesus Christ waited until He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power before venturing into the ministry of soul winning. He told the disciples to wait in the upper room until they were empowered with the Holy Spirit before going into the ministry of soul-winning (Acts 1:8).
As a child of God, do not rush into winning souls. You need the enablement of the Holy Spirit. Set yourself apart and wait on Jesus Christ to empower you with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1–4). The initial sign is the speaking in tongues and prophesying, and the love for lost souls. After you have received the Holy Spirit, He gives you His voice to hear Him so that He can direct you. Thus, you become prompt at doing good and ministering to the needs of people. Praise the Lord!
Dear beloved, there are benefits in winning the lost for Jesus Christ. First, there is joy in heaven (Luke 15:7). The holy angels rejoice before God (Luke 15:10). Second, the soul-winner shines like the stars (Daniel 12:3). Third, your prayers are quickly attended to by God. (John 15:16). Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: My loving Father, I praise You for enlightening me today about soul-winning. As I wait on You today, please anoint me and empower me by Your Spirit to be a great soul-winner for You in order to bring many to the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and become heirs of Your Kingdom. Amen!
