“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” – Luke 6:38 (KJV)

In His Word, God has set out a principle about giving and receiving. It is a principle that, when you walk in it, your prosperity is guaranteed. The boy who gave Jesus the five loaves of bread and two fishes was blessed abundantly (John 6:8–13).

Beloved, after Jesus had prayed over them, they multiplied, and He fed five thousand people who had come to His crusade. The disciples picked up a surplus of twelve basketfuls after everyone had eaten their fill. The boy was given some of the surplus to fulfill the principle of giving and receiving.

Dear beloved, do you want to be blessed abundantly? Then the answer lies in your giving to God and people in need. Remember that whatever you do for people or against them, it will be measured back to you (Luke 6:27–38). Keep giving your offerings, tithes, and first fruits in church.

Keep giving toward the needs of people, show them compassion, and be forgiving and kind. Do these things cheerfully and see how God will cause men to also give to you.

Beloved, use a good measure so that you can also receive bountifully and walk in the abundance of every good thing. Hallelujah! You are a blessing!

Prayer Point: My precious Jesus Christ, thank You for teaching me the principle about giving and receiving in Your Kingdom.

Please lead and guide me to form a lifestyle of always showing compassion and forgiveness and ministering to the needs of people, especially the vulnerable and the less privileged. Amen!
