“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” – Psalms 23:1 (KJV)
Making the LORD your shepherd puts an end to all your needs. The Psalmist has given us a good reason to have a close relationship with the LORD. When you develop a close relationship with God, you will lack nothing. The Lord as your shepherd shows the Father/son and Father/daughter relationship. As a child of God, the LORD wants to continually be a Father to you (Matthew 23:9).
Dear beloved, when you allow Him to be a Father to you, all your needs are supplied. Hallelujah! In the New Testament, Jesus Christ is the good Shepherd, and the born-again Christians are His sheep or children (John 10:11). When you submit to Him as your Shepherd or Father, all your needs are taken care of. He is ever ready to go the extra mile to provide for you; the role of the Shepherd is to provide for and protect His sheep. All He needs from us is total submission and obedience to Him. He is so kind to put all His rules and regulations in the Holy Scriptures. Therefore, be a student of the Bible to know Him better.
Beloved, when the disciples submitted to Him, they lacked nothing (Luke 5:11). Submit to Him today and be obedient to Him forever through His Word and you will lack nothing. Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: My gracious Father, I’m grateful to have You as my Father. I submit to my brother, Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd of my soul, and serve Him all the days of my life. Thank You for supplying all my needs according to Your riches. Amen!
