For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Rom 8:5 (AKJV)

In this month of February, I will do my best to help you in your spiritual growth. We are called to be spiritual in our walk with God. Spirituality however is not a feeling or an activity. Many times, believers are made to think that embarking on certain activities like prayer and fasting, and the like is what will make them spiritual. But spirituality cannot be generated by an activity or a feeling.

To be spiritual means that you are spirituality awakened to the spirit realm and that your spiritual antenna is able to pick up signals from the Holy Spirit who indwells you. And this is achieved in the mind. In our opening text, the Bible made it clear that “…they that are after the flesh do MIND the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”

The difference between the spiritual and the carnal is what they do MIND. What fills their mind control their spirituality or carnality. THE MIND MAKES THE MAN. The kind of man you will be is determined by what you feed your mind. What do you mind? What do you constantly think about? What fills your consciousness? These things define your spirituality.

This is why you must train yourself to constantly meditate on God’s word. Always attend to the word. Become a word addict. Let The word richly dwells in you “(Col 3:16). Hallelujah! Then your spirit will dominate your body through your mind, and you will become spiritual. Glory to God. Mind what fills your mind.

Prayer: Dear God help me saturate my mind with your word always. Make me an addict of your word. Consume my consciousness with your word so that my mind is always controlled by your word in Jesus’ name
