“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)

Fear is a spirit that can be either positive or negative depending on its source. Positive fear has its source from God, and it is seen in godly reverence, obedience, and submission to God’s law and authority.

Negative fear, on the contrary, leads to shyness, disobedience, and a lack of reverence for God’s law and authority.

Dear beloved, you can be a better judge of the kind of fear you have in you. If it is leading you to worship God better and to give reverence and obedience to His Word, then you have godly or positive fear; this kind of fear is called the fear of God, and it is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

Never allow negative fear to take hold of your life. Be strong in the Word of God and be bold because you are a child of God and God is in you and with you (John 14:16–17).

Be like David, and do not be afraid to do what God has called you for; you will overcome every Goliath of opposition in Jesus’ name. Amen! Hallelujah!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. I draw strength from the Holy Spirit inside of me and overcome every obstacle in my life. I reject negative fear from my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
