“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” – 2 Timothy 1:8 (KJV)

There is the tendency of some of the children of God to be quiet over the works of Christ. It is also possible to dissociate from those who are suffering for Christ, just like Demas, who forsook Apostle Paul (2 Timothy 4:10). This could be due to many reasons such as pride, reluctance, business, lack of interest, etc.

Beloved, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said if we are ashamed of Him and the gospel in this generation, He will also be ashamed of us before the Father (Luke 9:26). Let us feel the pain and suffering our Lord went through for the sake of us so that we can share His good news with others. There are many people who need to know about the gospel of Christ, and Jesus Christ is counting on us to deliver the lost through the gospel.

Dear beloved, can Jesus Christ count on you? He has promised to be with us while preaching the gospel, so we do not have to allow anything to discourage us (Matthew 28:20). When we do it diligently and faithfully, He will meet all our needs. Beloved, the joy of seeing others saved should motivate us to work for the master so that we can rejoice at His second coming, and with the holy saints in heaven. Hallelujah! Glory to the Highest!

Prayer Point: My dear Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for sacrificing Your life for me. Now I am saved. I pray for all born-again Christians to avail themselves to be used to propagate the gospel so that many souls in nations, cities, towns, villages, and homes can be saved in Jesus’ name. Amen!
