“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” – Matthew 7:2 (KJV)
The Kingdom of God is about love; showing love to one another is what is encouraged by God. When Jesus Christ walked this earth, He showed love to all the people He encountered. In like manner, He judged with love. Thus, the children of God are exhorted to love one another even if they are to judge.
Beloved, to judge is to show fairness to one another, stand for what is right, and condemn what is wrong. The children of God are encouraged to use the Holy Scriptures to judge one another in love. Since the children of God are being perfected, they should understand their actions may not always be right. Therefore, they must use the right measure so that when they find themselves where their actions do not go the right way, others may reciprocate their fairness in judgment.
Dear beloved, do you judge people right? We are the oracles of God, so let us judge in fairness to bring glory to God (1 Peter 4:11). When King Solomon applied the wisdom of God in judgment, the fear of God fell on the people (1 Kings 3:16–28). Therefore, let us apply the Word of God and the wisdom of God any time we are called upon to judge, so that people would fear God and draw closer to Him. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!
Prayer Point: My gracious Father, I’m grateful that You are the great Judge of all creation. Thank You for giving me the wisdom to judge. Please lead me to always be fair in judging my fellow human beings so that they can fear You and draw closer to You in Jesus’ name. Amen!
