Preserve Your Freedom
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal 5:1 KJV
In Christ, we are made free. Please note the use of the word ‘made’ in the above. Christ does not set one free; He makes one free. To make means to manufacture, create, construct or produce. When you were born again in Christ Jesus, you were recreated free from all bondage. You were manufactured, reconstructed, designed and programmed to be free: free from curses, satanic dominion, and the bondages of this world. Glory to God
God through Christ has brought us into this liberty wherein we stand. Now, we must stand fast in this liberty. To stand fast from the Greek, ‘steko’ means to STAND FIRM, PRESERVE, and to PERSIST. You see, even though you are free, you have the responsibility to preserve and be persistent in your liberty. This means, you must consciously and persistently reject any thing, teachings and doctrine that puts you back into bondage.
Though Christ has made us free, unfortunately, some preachers are busy putting people back into bondage. Paul contends in our opening text that we do not entangle ourselves again with the yoke of bondage. Refuse any teaching that tells you that you are under a curse. Reject any form of prayer, whatsoever that gives room for you to think that Satan has power over you. You are God’s new creation, already MADE FREE! Glory to God! And bondage is not your portion!
Dear believer, this is a responsibility God has given you. God will not do it for you. He already did His part when He made you free in Christ. Now you must PRESERVE your freedom by PERSISTENTLY standing firm in your liberty. Hallelujah! Consume your mind with the glorious news of your freedom in Christ daily, and you’ll find yourself daily living in triumph. You are a victor in Christ. You are God’s freeman. Defend your freedom!
Confession: I’m God’s freeman. I’m free from sin, curses, satanic dominion, and every bondage. I live above bondage. I live in freedom. I have a glorious life in Jesus, and I win all the time. Glory to God!
