For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: – Act 2:25 KJV
David is one man who was conscious and desperate for God’s presence. God’s presence was his constant desire. He saw the Lord constantly before his face. One day he cried; “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple” (Psa 27:4).
No wonder David never lost any battle throughout his reign as king. God called him “A man after my heart.” The presence of God is the most powerful thing in all the universe. The Psalmist said, “The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth” (Psa 97:5). Psalm 114:7 says, “Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.”
The good news is that this divine presence is now resident in us. We are carriers of God’s divine presence and Person. Ephesians 2:22 clearly shows us that “Through him (Christ) you…are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit” [NLT]. Glory! What David sought with all his life, what made him a success, what makes the earthquake is now inside you. Glory! You are a world shaker! Be conscious of God’s inherent divine presence and Person in you and live every day from within.
Prayer: Father I that you for your indwelling presence in me. I’m your habitation where you live. Your presence is heaven to me. I live every day from within, saturated with your presence and power. Thank you for your abiding presence in me. I’m eternally grateful. Glory!
