“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:” – Proverbs 6:6 (KJV)

Looking down on what appears to be insignificant in the Kingdom of God may lead to missing the blessings of God. The Most High is the creator of heaven and the earth and everything therein.

Everything He has created is significant and meaningful to Him. Human beings, on the other hand, sometimes consider some of the things God has created insignificant due to our limited knowledge. Who would have thought that the ant could provide wisdom to the lazy person?

Dear beloved, laziness is not from God, and we must do all we can to avoid it. Even if you think you are not lazy, go to the ant and learn something from it. The ant has no commander or ruler, yet it works to provide for itself at the right time and even to store some for the future (Proverbs 6:7–8).

Beloved, make up your mind to be diligent and work at a job; create one for yourself or look for a job to do so that you can provide for yourself and others in need (Ephesians 4:28). Remember, no job is too small or too big for you; once it is approved by God, go for it and do it.

Developing your gift, talent, or skills can make a way for you, just like David, and you will be a blessing (1 Samuel 17:49–50). Hallelujah! God bless you!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for counseling me to avoid laziness. Please lead me to identify my gifts or talents and to develop them to have the skills to create my own job or work for an employer to be a blessing to many, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
