“O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” – Psalms 8:9 (KJV)

Knowing how to live an excellent life makes excellence a possibility. Beloved, God has revealed Himself in His Word so that we can know Him and have fellowship with Him (1 John 1:3). This divine knowledge causes us to live a triumphant life in this world.

The opening scripture tells us something about the name of the LORD: the name of the LORD is excellent. This means that the name of the LORD is superior, eminently good, majestic, glorious, and first-class.

Beloved, the quality of excellence becomes your portion when you live in the name of the LORD, meditate on His name, and use His name. Remember that He Has revealed this excellent name in the person of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:9–11).

Beloved, to live an excellent life in the sight of God is to be born again. Secondly, be conscious of the name of Jesus Christ and meditate on the greatness of His name. Finally, live in His name and use His name to get solutions to your challenges. Praise the Lord! Glory to the King of kings!

Prayer Point: My dear Father, thank You for revealing the excellence of Your name to me. I hallow Your name and will praise and worship it forever. As I hallow, praise, worship, and use Your majestic name, please let excellence be my portion in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen!
