“For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:2–3 (KJV)

Prayer is the lifeline of every Christian. No wonder Jesus Christ said we should always pray and not give up (Luke 18:1). Apostle Paul also came on the scene and bore witness to the necessity of prayer, saying we should pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Dear beloved, the opening scripture gives clear evidence of why we must continually pray: The devil and his demons are always raising wicked men and women to make the lives of the righteous unbearable. Even while we are asleep, they are plotting evil against us (Matthew 13:24–25).

Beloved, make time to pray in the morning, afternoon, and evening; sometimes midnight prayers should be engaged in as well. Search the scriptures and pray based on the Word of God, and take possession of all the inheritances that God has destined for you. Be delighted to pray because God is always available to hear you and answer you. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: Dear Holy Spirit, please call me to pray at the right time, in Jesus’ name, amen.
