“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 2:38 (KJV)

Taking advantage of the time to repent and be saved secures one for eternal life and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Apostle Peter was addressing the men and women in Judea and Jerusalem after the Holy Spirit had been poured upon the disciples in the upper room. He asked them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins so that they could also receive the Holy Spirit. About three thousand souls believed in Jesus Christ; they were baptized and added to the church (Acts 2:41).

The only way to receive the Holy Spirit is by repenting from your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior.

Repentance is a total turnaround unto Jesus Christ. Beloved, you might not be living a sinful life but if Jesus Christ is not your Lord and personal Savior, you still bear the nature of sin in you inherited from Adam (Romans 3:23).

Pray this simple prayer, “Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God who died for my sins. I repent of my sins, and I accept You now as my Lord and personal Savior. Please take total control of my life, I receive eternal life into my spirit; I am now born again, I am a child of God, amen.” If you said that prayer, you are born again.

Get a Holy Bible to have an intimate relationship with Jesus through His Word and join a good local church. If you are already a Christian, help someone to repent and be born again and you will be blessed. Hallelujah! Be a soul winner!

Prayer Point: My dear Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for coming into my life. I pray for those in the world, that You send them preachers to share the gospel with them and be saved. Please give me words in due season to share with those in my sphere of contact so that they can also believe in You and accept You as Lord and personal Savior. Amen!
