“Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you.” – Philippians 4:9

Proof of faith is not what you believe…it is what you do with what you believe. There are so many people who are crying out for more knowledge, but the reality is we do not need more knowledge. What we need is to do more with what we already know.

There have been a lot of pseudo Christian materials in the system, some people are of the view that, Books that were not canonized like Book of Enock, The Book of Mormon, The Book of Jasher, Legends of the Jews, The Story of Ahikarthe, The Books of Adam and Eve, The Book of Abraham, Esdras, Maccabees, The Prayer of Azariah, six and seven Books of Moses, worship of angels must be read and practice and many others that I can put in this short devotion. So, they are coming out with the rejection of Christ’s teaching claiming we have a culture that must be adhered to as Africans.

The only way for our intimacy with God and our impact on this world to grow is for us to act on what we already know and walk in obedience to what God has revealed to us through His Word and by His Spirit. I would say that most of us are educated far beyond our level of obedience.

When we stand before God, He will not say “Well intentioned” or “Well believed” He will say “Well done”. It does not matter what our intentions are or even what we believe it matters how we walk out this journey of faith.

Dear believer, my encouragement to you today is to look inwardly to find out if there is some area of your life where you can do better in living out God’s Word in front of this world.

Live every day fully in God’s best and the peace of God will guide you fully into what His will is for your life!
