“For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.” – Isaiah 54:9 (KJV)
Is it not comforting to read the opening Scripture to know that God can swear by Himself to do something wonderful for His children? Yes, it is! God has sworn not to destroy the earth any more with water as He did in the days of Noah (Genesis 9:11). He has also gone further, to swear again that He will not be intensely angry nor rebuke His children. He was not talking to babes and youth; He was talking to His matured children. These are believers who have come to know their left from their right and are determined to serve God in whatever circumstances they find themselves. When you so please God and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, you become their friend and they will treat you with great honour (John 14:23). Hallelujah!
Dear beloved, are you matured in Christ? Exercising the Word of God daily is the key to growing into maturity. Remember that the mature in Christ do not murmur or complain because they know God and His ways. Beloved, take advantage of God’s Word and enhance your relationship with Him and He will teach you how to also control anger or wrath. This will go a long way toward promoting your human relationship. Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, I’m so glad to hear that You have sworn an oath to preserve the earth; to be nice to us without getting angry or rebuking us. I have learned from You to be nice to my fellow brethren and never get angry at them. Please let me continually practice your Word and become mature in You in Jesus’ name. Amen!
