“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.” – Ruth 1:16–17 (KJV)
The story of Naomi and Ruth is a beautiful one, so God kept a record of it for us. This true story has a lot of lessons for us today.
We see true love in action in the life of Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi. Ruth reciprocated the love she received from her mother-in-law and vowed to serve her and her God forever.
No wonder God saw this holy relationship and manifested Jesus Christ through the lineage of Ruth (Ruth 4:22).
Dear beloved, if we are born again, the love of God is deposited inside our hearts, and God expects us to express it in loving people and serving them (Romans 5:5).
Let us learn from the story of Ruth and Naomi by showing the deep love we have for God by loving people and serving them.
When we love people and serve them, it makes it easier for them to believe in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ because they have seen and experienced what we preach. Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for sharing the true story of Ruth and Naomi with me. Henceforth, I will express my deep love for you by loving and serving people to your glory. Amen!
