For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

As you scour the contents of the Old Testament you will find well over 300 prophecies given about the birth of Jesus Christ as our Redeemer. Though it took thousands of years from the first time that God gave the promise until the fruition and birth of that Promise through the womb of the Virgin Mary…the Promise finally came that first Christmas night. Why? Simply because when God gives a promise – He is faithful to deliver that promise. It doesn’t matter how long you have to wait for it. It doesn’t matter how many people will tell you that it isn’t going to happen. It doesn’t matter what you have to go through on the way to receiving that promise. If God said it then it will come to pass because:

God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19

This Promised Redeemer is the fulfillment of a universal promise given to the world. But I also believe that this season is a time in which God is making a personal promise to His people as well. This is the season where God is revealing to you the promises of what He will do in your personal life.

So, as we draw nigh to this blessed season of promise…I encourage you to seek God for the promises He will bring to pass in your home this year. What are you believing God for this Christmas?
He Who has promised is faithful to deliver!
