“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”  – Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

Showcasing good works does not come by chance but by the inner working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of a child of God. The very moment you became born again; the Holy Spirit came to live inside your heart. Thus, you have become a child of God and the light of the world.

You need to understand the work of the Holy Spirit in you to cooperate with Him to do good works on Earth (John 16:7–14). Remember that our Lord Jesus Christ said we will do greater works than He did if we believe in Him (John 14:12).

Dear friend, trust the Lord that He can do something beautiful with your life through the Holy Spirit, and give your maximum attention to the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. He will use you to do good works on Earth and in your family, church, community, society, and nation at large.

Remember that if Jesus Christ shone and did good works through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do likewise (Acts 10:38). Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. Please help me give the Holy Spirit my absolute attention and cooperation in order to shine, showcasing good works to your glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
