“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” – Hebrews 1:3–4 (KJV)
Neglecting the Word of God is planning to fail. The child of God is the offspring of the Word of God, and he or she cannot succeed in this life without the Word (1 Peter 1:23). The opening scripture clearly states that all things are upheld by the Word of His power (the Word of God).
Dear beloved, meditate on the opening scripture, and you will receive rhema to always value and be serious with the Word of God. If the Most High upholds all things by His Word, then the Holy Scriptures should be priced above all things in our lives.
Study and meditate on the Word of God day and night and observe to do what He says. Then you will surely prosper in every good thing you set your mind and heart on (Psalm 1:2–3). If our heavenly Father cannot do without His Word, why should a true Christian neglect the Word of God even for a day?
Beloved, if you have been neglecting the Word of God, it is time to stop and make time for Him before you begin to fail. Let the Holy Scriptures govern your thoughts, decisions, actions, reactions, choices, and plans, and you will always prosper. Hallelujah! Uphold the Word!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me your Word. I promise to be serious with your Word and meditate on it day and night as well as do what it says, please remind me to fulfill my promise, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
