“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” – James 1:25 (KJV)
The Holy Bible is being described as a perfect law of liberty. As A Result, the Holy Bible should be treated with reverence because its content is perfect and capable of liberating or giving the oppressed freedom.
Dear beloved, are you a forgetful hearer? Forgetful hearers are the children of God who hear the Word of God or read it but are not careful to walk therein (James 1:24).
Beloved, treat the Holy Scriptures with all the seriousness that they deserve because they constitute your life. Remember that we were born of the Word of God, and the Word of God is necessary to live and be useful vessels for God (1 Peter 1:23). Walking in the Holy Scriptures or living them out should be the primary reason you take your Bible to study, meditate, or hear what it says.
Beloved, be resilient in the faith by continually meditating on the Word of God and walking therein, and you shall surely come back with a testimony. Hallelujah! The Word works!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for making your Word readily available to me. Please lead me by your Spirit to meditate and walk therein and be blessed in Jesus’ name. Amen!
