“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

Among the apostles who wrote the New Testament, Apostle Paul comes first in terms of the number of epistles he wrote for the churches. Beloved, he was able to do much because he was focused on the prize of his high calling of God (Acts 9:20). He wants us to do the same in our lives; He does not want us to mingle in activities that cannot help us to achieve or fulfill our God-given mission (Philippians 3:18–19).

Beloved, it is our duty to fish out or identify the things that are disrupting us or taking our attention from the main goal so that we can clear them out of the way. Befriend those who can help you fulfill your calling; spend time on things that relate to your main goal or calling in life.

Be like Apostle Paul, to continue to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ, and you will succeed—thus fulfilling your divine destiny on earth. Praise the Lord! Glory to God!

Prayer Point: My dear heavenly Father, thank You for admonishing me to focus on my calling or divine assignment and fulfill it to the glory of Your name. Please lead and guide me to carry others along this journey, so that they can also identify their calling or divine assignment in life and fulfill it in Jesus’ name. Amen!
