“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;” – 1 John 1:1 (KJV)

It is said that experience is the best teacher. Thus teaching something that you haven’t experienced first hand could be hypocritical. Jesus Christ has extensive teaching on hypocrisy in Matthew 23:1–36.

Dear beloved, the reason why the preaching of the gospel is the sole responsibility of born again Christians is that we have experienced salvation and can testify of the love of God pertaining to the offering of His only begotten Son to the world of sinners.

No wonder His Word said that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for our sins (Romans 5:8). Now that you have experienced salvation, it is vital not to sit aloof while neglecting your duty of serving the Lord Jesus Christ and making disciples for Him (Matthew 28:19–20).

There are levels of maturity in Christ Jesus, therefore you have no excuse for not preaching the gospel. Whichever level you are at, you can preach your experience; never preach anything you haven’t experienced yourself, because it will be hypocritical and you cannot answer questions on something you haven’t tasted.

Preach and teach the gospel using your experience as an example, and you will touch more hearts to follow Christ Jesus than you could ever do before. Then He will promote you to a higher level of experience. Hallelujah! God bless you!

Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus, I avail myself to you. Please use me so that I can grow and experience more of you. Amen!
