”Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” Psalm 46:10

You will learn more from God in silence than you ever will through talking.

It’s time to be quiet. We live in a world of constant noise and distraction. The TV is always on in the house…the radio always blaring in the car and the kids seem to always have one more thing to say. The world is a place of constant noise. With all the noise around us, rarely do we ever take the moment to get quiet before God. Even our prayer time is filled with petitions and praise…both of which are a vital part of our prayer life.

But what about just sitting in the presence of God in silence? Our verse today commands us to “be still”…be quiet. It is in that moment of quiet when you are not talking that you will finally hear God talking. When your voice is quiet, God’s voice will be heard. So today…just be quiet.

Brethren, take time to sit in the presence of God without saying anything and just see what you hear from Him. You will learn more in that time of silence than you will at any other time!
