“Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” – Isaiah 26:4 (KJV)
Ever since they were brought out of Egypt the children of Israel were fond of going back and forth with their walk with the Lord. They worshiped God for some time and found themselves leaving God to worship idols. The opening scripture acknowledging this behavior exhorts the children of God to trust the LORD forever.
Beloved, God wants us to consistently trust Him (Psalms 62:8). Sometimes we are attracted by the things of the world—success, wealth, fantasy, pleasures, etc.—and lose our confidence in the Lord. Some lose their trust in the Word of God because of the afflictions and difficulties they are going through.
Beloved, the Word of God is admonishing us to continually trust the Lord, irrespective of what we may be going through or how attractive the world maybe because He will one day give us the lasting victory and the deliverance we need. Remember that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, so you cannot trust in something else and succeed (John 14:6). Make up your mind to trust God forever and serve Him forever, and He will be delighted to always support you. Hallelujah! Be trustworthy!
Prayer Point: My faithful and loving Father, thank You for inspiriting me to always trust You. I put all my trust in You to make life worth living. Please keep me in You and take away any desire to try another god, and I will continually trust You even in challenging times, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
