“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” – 2 John 1:9 (KJV)

Doctrine was synonymous to teaching. The teaching of Christ Jesus was never different from His lifestyle and what He had seen with the Father. He always did what He had seen with the Father and what the Father had taught Him (John 5:19).

Consequently, if you want to know the teachings of Jesus Christ, study the synoptic gospels: Matthew, Mark, and Luke. You can also add the book of John, which emphasizes the deity of Christ Jesus.

Dear beloved, if you don’t abide in the teaching of Christ, you will surely sin and be devoid of the Father and Jesus Christ. If you do love Jesus Christ, you would want to be like Him, which is the desire of the Father (Ephesians 4:13).

Beloved, prove your love for God by abiding in the teachings of Christ, and He will make you like Christ Jesus, doing even greater works than He did (John 14:12). Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!
