Desiring an excellent life in Christ is the beginning of fulfilling your true destiny of excellence (Psalms 16:3). The New International Version quotes the opening scripture as, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Beloved, if any child of God is asked whether he or she wants an excellent life, the answer will be in the affirmative. To have an excellent or praiseworthy life starts with your mind. What you think about often becomes a reality in your life (Proverbs 23:7). Thus, our thoughts are very important because rarely will we act without thinking.
As a child of God, if you want to live an excellent life, think about whatever is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. As you think about these things continually, your life will go in the direction of excellence. On the other hand, if you continually think about sorrow, poverty, misery, sickness, fear, failure, etc., your life will not be excellent.
Beloved, make the right choice to think right and enjoy an excellent life. Praise the Lord! God bless you!
Prayer Point: My Father and my God, thank You for giving me the mind to think. Indeed, You have just taught me that my life will go in the direction of my thoughts.
Please lead me to continually have true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy thoughts, so that I can enjoy an excellent life every day in Jesus’ name. Amen!
