“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
One fully armed enemy a believer must defeat this year is fear. There is no human being on Earth who can boldly say that ever since they were born, they haven’t experience fear in their lives.
Fear entered humanity the moment Adam and Eve sinned against God and refused to repent but rather blamed someone else for their own choice (Genesis 3:8–10). But thanks be to God Almighty, who sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins, to defeat the devil and his demons, and to take away the keys of death and Hades from them (Revelation 1:18). Thus, all kinds of fears from the devil and his demons have been defeated.
The opening scripture reveals the kind of spirit that has been given to the children of God in place of fear. We have the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
As a Christian, if you put the power, love, and sound mind to use, every negative fear will disappear. The only fear (positive fear) that should remain in your life is the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).
Speak with power, and rebuke fear in Jesus’ name when you are being intimidated by anything or anyone. Love God and people, and make sure your mind is free from stress and any negative thoughts by feeding on the Word of God and using your eyes and ears right. Then you will reign in every area of your life to the glory of God. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word about fear. In Jesus’ name, I use the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that you have given to me to defeat every form of fear, shyness, and intimidation in my life. Amen!
