“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:” – Colossians 1:12 (KJV)

In his walk with God, Apostle Paul found a key to making manifest the blessings of God. Beloved, this key is what he has revealed to us in the opening scripture—giving thanks. He wants thanksgiving to be our lifestyle. During thanksgiving, the power of God is released to meet our needs (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Continually giving thanks to God, even during challenges, is a mark of maturity in Christ.

When Paul and Silas were arrested and put in prison, they did not complain. They lifted prayer, thanksgiving, and praise to God (Acts 16:25–26). During their thanksgiving and praise, the power of God was released to deliver them from prison.

Dear beloved, what you need to do is develop a lifestyle of giving thanks to God continually, and God will release His power to provide the solution you have been waiting and praying for (Ephesians 5:18–21). Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: Abba Father, thank You for teaching me how to develop a lifestyle of giving thanks and praise for You. I put this knowledge to work immediately.

Please lead me to use your Word, songs, hymns, and other resources at my disposal to always create the atmosphere of praise, thanksgiving, and joy, for many lives to be blessed in Jesus’ name. Amen!
