“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” – Matthew 5:9 (KJV)
The children of God are all those who believe in Jesus Christ, who have made Him their Lord and personal Savior, and are following Him. Being a child of God is more about doing the Word of God than simply professing who you are (James 1:22). This is buttressed by the opening scripture that peacemakers are the children of God.
Dear beloved, are you a peacemaker? A peacemaker is a born again Christian who first of all brings peace between God and the sinner. A sinner is a person who is not born again and thus has the Adamic nature of sin in them; hence they have no fellowship with God.
The Christian who preaches the gospel and brings sinners to the point of repentance, and subsequently accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior, is a peacemaker (Acts 8:5–8)).
Beloved, soul-winning is our foremost responsibility in the Kingdom of God. Then, wherever we find ourselves we are to make sure that the will of God is seen. His will of showing His goodness in caring for the sick, needy, the poor, and vulnerable people in society is done (Psalm 82:3–4).
Ensuring that His will is done in the lives of people in your sphere of contact will bring joy, peace, and prosperity to them, to the glory of God the Highest. Hallelujah! Be a peacemaker!
Prayer Point: My gracious heavenly Father, thank You for enlightening me to be a peacemaker. I pledge my life to be a peacemaker for You.
Please use me to bring many sinners to repentance through sharing the gospel and ensuring that Your perfect will is done in the lives of everyone in my sphere of contact, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
