“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” – Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)
The word “diligent” in the opening scripture is rendered skillful in the New International Version, “Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.”
Beloved, the Lord wants you to be skillful in your business; He wants you to excel at what you do for a living. His vision for you is for you to serve before kings and not just before mere men. Let that be your vision or priority as well so that the dream God has for you will be a reality. Whatever trade or profession you find yourself in, love it and add a touch of class to it. If your profession does not transgress God’s Word, you have His support.
Beloved, let everyone who uses your product or service find the need to recommend you to someone else. By so doing you will begin to minister before great men and women. David was recommended to Saul because of his skill in playing the harp (1 Samuel 16:17–23). Beloved, let everyone you serve be so important to you; do not discriminate, and be the best at what you do. Very soon, you will be number one in your profession. Hallelujah!
Dear beloved, do you want to serve before kings? Then put the Word of God to work in your life. The Word of God is so powerful that when you apply it in faith, it works miracles to the praise of His name (Hebrews 4:12). Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: My gracious Father, thank You for inspiring me through Your Word. Henceforth I will attach excellence and skill to my work and do it so well that anyone who uses my services and products will be happy to testify about them to others, to the glory of Your name in Jesus’ name. Amen!
