“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” – Psalm 104:24 (KJV)
Praise is an act of worship or acknowledgment by which the virtues or deeds of God are recognized and extolled.
As children of God, we are expected to praise God for who He is and for what He has done. Praising God for who He is, is called adoration or worship; praising Him for what He does is known as thanksgiving.
Dear beloved, how many times do you praise God in a day? We need to feel delighted to praise God every day. David praised Him seven times a day (Psalm 119:164).
Truthfully, we must praise God much more than we make requests because He knows what we need before we even ask Him (Matthew 6:8).
Beloved, living a lifestyle of praising God much more than making requests has lots of blessings. It takes boredom from our lives, God becomes close to us and fills us with His delight, it makes our countenance cheerful, it attracts blessings from creation to us, and it draws the right people to us.
Beloved, let us make praise a lifestyle, and God will move the earth’s riches to us to enjoy. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Prayer Point: My loving Father, thank you for your insightful Word. I have made up my mind today to develop a lifestyle of praising you. Please remind me to praise you much more than I make requests, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
