“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” – Psalms 27:5 (KJV)

God is the creator of time, and He has tied the destiny of mankind to time. Many events and activities happen in the lives of every human being on earth, some of which we are responsible for (Ecclesiastes 3:18).

Beloved, God expects us to oversee the events and activities that occur in our lives whether we are responsible for them or not.

The opening Scripture gives us words of comfort when the happenings in our lives are troubling us. You should now know that there are times of sweetness and there are times of bitterness in the life of every child of God. However, God has given us His Word to make us feel less pressured in times of trouble; He will hide us in His tabernacle, His place of protection, so that we do not feel the pressure of the troubled times.

You might be going through difficult times as a child of God but know that God has shielded you from the devastating effect of the difficulty. Very soon, your time of sweetness will come if you do not give up. Remember that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). He will set you upon the rock for everybody to see and celebrate you. Hallelujah!

Dear beloved, be encouraged and do not allow anything to steal your joy in Christ. Remember that God is with you and He will see you through your times of difficulty just like He did for the psalmist. Glory to God!

Prayer Point: My Father, my Lord, and my God, thank You for the words of assurance. I now know that when I pass through the fire and water, You will always be with me. Please let me learn the lessons You want me to learn in times of difficulty or trouble to be a better Christian in Jesus’ name. Amen!
