“And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, that he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.” Acts 1:24–25 (KJV)
One of the things that Christianity cannot do without is prayer. Prayer is communion with God. In prayer, we interact with God, and answers, power, and blessings are released to us. When the disciples prayed for a replacement of Judas Iscariot, God answered them through their votes, and Mathias was chosen to be the twelfth apostle. Prayer works when it is done in faith with the Word of God (James 1:6–8). No matter how small your need is, God wants you to share it with Him (Proverbs 3:5).
Dear friend, don’t be like the people who only pray when they are confronted with a problem. Prayer is fellowship with our heavenly Father, so it must be done every day, even when there are no pressing needs in our lives. Pray for yourself and your family, friends, neighbors, church, society, and nation, and God will step in to cause the change that you desire. Hallelujah! Be prayerful!
Prayer Point: Dear Holy Spirit, please teach me how to pray well and make time to pray, amen!
And when we pray hear us oh Lord, silence the calamity that befallen our world and show us mercy..Amen
