“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” – Galatians 5:22–26 (KJV)

Scientifically, a fruit is a developed ovule from a flower. This flower is an extension of the branch of the tree. In like manner, the Spirit of God is the flower of God that bears the fruit of love expressed in joy, peace, longsuffering or patience, gentleness, goodness, faith or faithfulness, meekness, and temperance or self-control.

Dear beloved, are you bearing the fruit of the Spirit? Bearing the fruit of the Spirit requires that you know, love, and cooperate with the Holy Spirit to express His nature of love through you.

He is the Spirit of truth, so you can only know Him through the Word of God, the Holy Bible (John 16:13–14).

After knowing Him, love Him and make time to fellowship with Him, especially very early in the morning so that He can lead you to start your day right. As you do this daily and make it your lifestyle, you will begin to bear His fruit (the fruit of the Spirit).

Beloved, remember that when people begin to praise you for your good behavior, it is a sign that you are bearing the fruit of the Spirit. On the other hand, when people begin to dislike your behavior and say nasty things about you all the time, it is a sign that you are not bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

Beloved, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and God will showcase you to the world, drawing many people to Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! Be fruitful!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me your Spirit to live inside my heart. My sweet Holy Spirit, please forgive me if I have offended you, and bear your fruit in me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
