“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil,
neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust,
and enticed.” James 1:13–14 (KJV)

Accusing God is a sign of lack of knowledge. God always seeks the welfare of His children, and
therefore He cannot be accused. Remember that He is a perfect God and that He is always
right. Sometimes when people fall when they are tempted, they tend to blame God for it.

The opening scripture throws light on our attitude when we are tempted. We are tempted of our own
lust or evil desires. In other words, we become vulnerable to temptation when our desires are
not in sync with the Word of God. Thus, the devil takes advantage of that weakness and tempts
us to sin against God. Remember that Eve was filled with lust and disobeyed God by eating of
the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3:6).

Dear beloved, eliminate lust from your life through the Word of God, prayer, and choosing the
right thoughts, and you won’t fall during temptation. Praise God instead of accusing Him.
Hallelujah! God bless you!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the grace to eliminate lust from my
life and to overcome temptation. Amen!
