“Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.” – Colossians 3:19 (KJV)
Being a husband is a noble status, which makes one to take on the responsibilities pertaining to it. The Kingdom of God has no limits. Human beings are part of this Kingdom on Earth, and He keeps populating human beings through marriage, specifically through sexual intercourse.
A husband is a mature male of the human species who has married a wife, a female from the same species. Thus, getting married is agreeing to the laws governing the marriage setting.
The opening scripture is one of the laws God has made to govern marriage. As a husband, you are mandated to love your wife, knowing that she is fallible. She is regarded by the Word of God as a weaker vessel so must be treated with care (1 Peter 3:7).
Reason with her when she wrongs you by pointing out her fault and helping her, with the Word of God, to do right. Being bitter against her can only make her situation worse because she might be forced to be defensive or retreat into herself.
Dear beloved, let us put the love in us to work by being kind to everyone, and we will enjoy our marriage and make it a better place to raise the next generation. Hallelujah! God bless you!
Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word about marriage. Please give me more grace to be able to love my spouse and take up my responsibility irrespective of what my spouse is doing, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
